We're not all in this together

I doubt I'm alone in having tried to avoid dwelling on the news over the last couple of days (or the last two years, for that matter) for the sake of my own sanity and blood pressure. But I'm glad to have read this beautifully worded response to the revelations about the Downing Street BYOB party, written by actor Rory Kinnear, who buried his sister the same day.

The piece is a dignified and quietly devastating expression of fury at a government whose actions "feel like direct assaults in the face of my family's, and all of our shared national tragedy". Shame on Johnson and the despicable individuals surrounding him who continue to brazenly lie to and gaslight the British public, pissing on the graves of the dead.
