File under *shrugs*

If, like me, you're more than fashionably late to the Teeth Of The Sea party (i.e. five albums late), then don't be fooled by the fact that they're on the (typically excellent) bill for this year's Cardiff Psych & Noise Fest. Brilliant new LP Wraith suggests that they can't be classified that easily - if at all.

Housewives' second record Twilight Splendour is equally intriguing and disorienting, if not quite so good, while if you're not in the mood for feeling as though your brain has been removed and deep-fried, Ex Hex's It's Real comes highly recommended, continuing in the same hook-heavy vein as its predecessor Rips.

My reviews of all three records are in the March issue of Buzz, alongside others' assessments of new LPs from Foals, Stephen Malkmus, These New Puritans, The Japanese House, James Yorkston and Threatmantics.
