The vinyl frontier

As a Six By Seven fan, this recent post from frontman Chris Olley makes for revealing reading about the band's past and also whets the appetite for a new album that promises to be quite a significant departure from what has gone before (including last year's superlative comeback Love And Peace And Sympathy). However, perhaps most interesting is his justification for the decision to release it as vinyl and high-quality download only - his comments on the cost and scale of pressing CDs are eye-opening. Having to take returned CDs to the tip must have been a galling experience - even before he was told that they constituted trade waste...
