As if Mondays weren't bleak enough without learning the depressing truth about the scale of American ignorance. 26% of Americans don't know the Earth orbits the sun, 52% don't believe that humans evolved from animals and 61% don't believe in the Big Bang. Even Michael Gove might be able to improve that sorry state of affairs...
