That sinking feeling

For proof that religious faith can be a dangerous thing, look no further than the case of Franck Kabele, for whom it proved fatal. The Nigerian pastor convinced himself and his congregation that he could follow Jesus' lead and walk on water, but ended up drowning. Surely either attempting to turn water into wine or repeating the miracle of the loaves and the fishes would have been a much more sensible option?
