Hair today, gone tomorrow

Quite what it has to do with economics, but we should be grateful to economist Dwight E. Robinson for charting British facial hair trends between 1842 and 1972 and plotting the results in graphs. The overall picture is of a sharp decline, though it would be interesting to see how much the current vogue for beards would buck that trend.
