A tribute to Parties past

Last weekend saw TV On The Radio take over Camber Sands for the first of the year's four ATP weekenders - the last before the curtain comes down on them. Deerhunter's June shindig plus the November/December weekends curated by Primavera and Loop respectively may be still to come (and I remain hopeful of maybe making it to the Primavera one), but one regular festival-goer Glenn - a chalet-mate of my chum Dave - has penned an excellent tribute to the weekenders, recounting some of the highlights of the past decade and a bit and explaining what makes them so special and unique. As he speculates, economics is presumably the reason for ATP's decision to call it a day, but suffice to say it's a terrible shame that they have.
