4th June: nice day for a white wedding

So, apologies for the shortage of posts around here over the last week. In fact, apologies for the shortage of posts for the week to come, too. You see, Jen and I are being social conformists and getting hitched on Saturday. Following a full weekend at the venue, we're off on a three-day honeymoon here, with Glastonbury to come at the end of the month and maybe a fortnight in the Far East later in the year. It's a tough life.

Needless to say, my main responsibility has been to sort out and coordinate all the music, both recorded and live - and I'm still tweaking it. There are some classics in the cross-decade wedding disco mix (and Shuffle's throwing up some great juxtapositions - most recently Garbage's 'Stupid Girl' followed by 'Heart Of Glass'), but it's probably the post-midnight two-hour-long recreation of Rock City that I'm most looking forward to. Well, that, the end-of-ceremony live performance of a 70s favourite and having a first-dance-of-sorts with a cuss word in it...

See you on the other side.

Well, I rarely comment on blogs any more, possibly due to the fact that using Twitter has turned my brain to mush, but I believe congratulations are in order so - erm, congratulations and all the best for the future.

Recreating Rock City? Is this a wise move?

Cheers all! (And Betty, yes, it was a very wise move - even if it did result in carnage on the dancefloor!)
