Blogwatch: in brief
Yes, yes, I know... The remainder of the Green Man diary will be appearing over the next few days, I promise - but in the meantime, and on the theme of festivals, perhaps I can direct you to:
Mike's Twittered diary of Summer Sundae: Yes, really, Mike Troubled Diva does a festival - albeit one that takes place in a city centre, is half-indoors and suffered from not a single drop of rain in any case. "People are dancing! And about time too. Young people are holding up cardboard signs. FREE ANAL HERE! (plus arrow) and GET YOUR OWL OUT! Surreal..." Glasto next year then, is it Mike?
Kenny's tri-partite review of Summer Sundae: Part One / Part Two / Part Three
Not to be outdone, Simon has written his own tri-partite review of the festival, which you can read here. Unsurprisingly, in comparison with the Parallax View review, the Sweeping The Nation round-up is rather more focused on the music and rather less fixated on booze, attractive band members and making clever / cringeworthy puns...
And lastly for a different festival: Alan's latest collection of Edinburgh Fringe reviews, including his thoughts on shows by Tony Law, Richard Herring, Brendan Burns, Josie Long and Frank Skinner.
Has that bought me a bit of time?

Summer Sundae is partly indoors, you say?
I did not know that.
Are we thinking a Supersonic type of thing or a SXSW type of thing?
Don't know about SXSW, but it's more outdoors than Supersonic. The Main Stage is outdoors, the Indoor Stage is in De Montford Hall (the regular gig venue) and there's also the Rising Tent. The fact that De Montford Hall is open means that there's an indoor bar, as well as good toilet facilities. Very civilised. But it is in the middle of Leicester - don't know about you, but that's not really what I want from a festival...
