The right to write
Amidst all the talk of Britain becoming a police state, perhaps we're in danger of taking for granted our right to be critical of the government and authorities on our blogs. In which case, read this story - about a young Egyptian blogger handed a four year jail sentence for criticising his country's President Mubarak and al-Azhar University - and then sign the pledge that's part of Amnesty International's Irrepressible campaign.
