All too often an album that initially underwhelmed suddenly seems to whelm or indeed overwhelm the moment I've submitted a review. Not so with Nordic Giants' Symbiosis. I should really have gone with my gut instinct and cut it down to size as the polite John-Lewis-Christmas-ad-post-rock blather that it is, rather than pulling a few punches out of charity.
