Feel good hits of the 4th September

1. 'Years Not Long' - Male Bonding
2. 'Feel The Fire' - The Scruton Show
3. 'Cops' - My Robot Likes Sushi Not Bombs
4. 'Hey Jude' - The Beatles
5. 'PCP' - Manic Street Preachers
6. 'Suspicious Minds' - Elvis Presley
7. 'Miami' - Foals
8. 'Sagittarius Silver Announcement' - The Flaming Lips
9. 'Forget Me Not' - Glass Vaults
10. 'My Chariot' - The Depreciation Guild

Notes:

1. Nothing Hurts is explosive, instant fun. Very much recommended for anyone who likes No Age, Japandroids and Wavves.

2. and 3. The Scruton Show are set to play the mini-festival I'm going to later this month, and playing a cover of 'Cops'. Looking forward to it.

4. and 6. Highlights of last weekend's Snowdonian karaoke.

7. Total Life Forever made its first foray onto the stereo today, and it may yet grow on me.

8. Embryonic, on the other hand, continues to underwhelm - especially when you've witnessed the songs' power live twice this summer.

10. AKA Members of The Pains Of Being Pure At Heart's original outfit. Ought to go along to their Oxford gig tomorrow night, really...
