Afraid I'...Glad you spotted the reference, Martin.<br /><br />Afraid I'm not really the person to ask for an objective opinion about reading books on D H Lawrence, having studied the marvellously contrary bugger for nearly five years... I will say, though, that Burgess is far from an uncritical devotee - he's more than happy to stick the boot in when and where he feels it's deserved.
