The beautiful and the damned

While it was good to see the BBC website promoting English Heritage's forthcoming exhibition of post-war British architecture, Brutal And Beautiful: Saving The 20th Century, curator Elaine Harwood's commentary could have been better, explaining how and why we should appreciate the featured buildings. As it was, without context, I must admit that some of them - while undeniably striking - just looked brutal.
