Well, isn't this apt? A lengthy disquisition on Thomas Pynchon's life and work, constructed out of the comments of friends, acquaintances and others, with the odd tantalising snippet of the author's own voice. The "real" Pynchon remains elusive throughout the article, much as he does in real life.
