Three for '13

2012 isn't quite over, and yet there are already a trio of potentially mouthwatering albums to look forward to in 2013. First up, there's Low's The Invisible Way, with Wilco's Jeff Tweedy on production duties. Their last, C'mon, was an underrated triumph. The record will be promoted by a spring tour, the UK leg of which includes a stop-off at Bristol Trinity where I saw them last - unfortunately, though, I'll be somewhat preoccupied at the time...

And then there's the forthcoming offering from Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Push The Sky Away, for which a trailer (behind-the-scenes footage from the album's recording) is available here. I very much enjoyed 2008's Grinderman-influenced Dig, Lazarus, Dig!!! and have had my appetite whetted for new material by the recent discovery of the brilliant video for that album's closing track 'More News From Nowhere'.

Meanwhile, it seems that Dave Grohl isn't the only person to have been reunited with Josh Homme in the Queens Of The Stone Age fold - Nick Olivieri is also set to feature on the new album. Interesting to know what he's been doing with his spare time, in between performing his community service...

(Thanks to Phill for the Nick Cave link.)
